For the last ten years Straight Ahead Ministries has been publishing resources for youth in lock-up facilities and for people who minister to them. A Fresh Start is a thirty day devotional designed to lay the groundwork of the Christian faith. At the time it was published no one would have imagined that God had even bigger plans for this little book.

It was God’s good pleasure to expand the readership of this book from juvenile offenders in America to Christians living in the Republic of India. In recent months A Fresh Start was translated from English to Teluga, the official language of Andhra Pradesh, one of India’s largest states. This week we received this email thanking Straight Ahead for our work in helping make this translation possible…

Dear Straight Ahead,

Thank you for your prayers and support.

We have advertised A Fresh Start in a Telugu Christian newspaper in the month of May. This Christian newspaper is largely circulated in our State, Andhra Pradesh.

We have received several requests for this book through letters, phone and SMS, from Sunday School children, teachers and from different churches and ministries.

We have about 28 Districts in our state and we have received requests for Fresh Start book from more than 11 Districts. By the grace of God we have mailed A Fresh Start books to these requests according to their need.

Still we are getting requests for A Fresh Start books and we continue to send according to their request.

Thank you for your help in publishing and distributing A Fresh Start book in India. We are praying for you and for your ministry. Continue to pray for us.

Look forward to hear from you.

With Much More Love in Christ,

David, India
